Touchless Faucet Design
Most of us have grown up with the touchless faucets that we use day in and day out. They are convenient, time-saving, and often come with many different features. However, they are not perfect. It's incredibly easy to dirty around the edges of the sensor that turns it on while washing your hands or filling a container to wash dishes. If you don’t get into the habit of cleaning after every use, the dirt can build up until the sensor no longer functions.
A newer model that could replace these touchless faucets is becoming more and more popular. That's called "touchless technology." This touchless faucet works like a traditional faucet until you place your hands under it to get a drink or wash your hands. As soon as you remove your hands, the water turns off fully automatically. This design is awesome for use with kids because they can turn on the water and wash their hands without getting too close.
The touchless faucet also prevents dirt from clogging the holes in the sensor. The holes allow you to clean around the sensor, but this can lead to it not working properly. For this reason, it is common for manufacturers to include a spray cleaner with these faucets that you can take apart and clean out the holes when needed.
Another good thing about this variety of faucets is that they do not come with the hose attachment. Water is distributed directly to your hands while cleaning, instead of being sprayed out of a hose. That prevents the water from splashing and causing you to waste water just trying to wash your hands. It is also very comfortable if you have small hands that might have issues reaching out to the faucet when using it traditionally.
